About Elmer Boutin

I’m a Marketing Technologist and have been working with web sites and in web marketing since 1996. I started out doing web sites for local businesses such as car dealerships and an art gallery. I also helped start an online rental property referral web site aimed at assisting military people find homes before they moved.

I currently work for Rockfish Interactive as Senior Manager Search Strategy. Before that, I was Webmaster for Wilsonart International where I was involved in everything from social media to server administration to web development.

I advocate IT and Marketing departments working together to have the best possible web marketing efforts and thus benefit the enterprise. I also believe it’s important for everyone to develop themselves as leaders, to learn to be the best they can be at whatever they do.

In this space I draw upon my vast and diverse experience to offer you advice how to do your work better. Although I slant towards web marketing topics, many of the articles here have applications in many different fields.
