[...] This isn’t the first time I’ve written on this topic. After I posted that article, I had a very interesting conversation with a colleague whose daughter was getting ready to apply for teaching jobs. She went through Facebook and “untagged” herself anywhere she could find herself “tagged” – regardless whether the picture could be considered “bad” or not.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts, Heath.

1. It was just the sound system and not the TV. Still, it was money they left on the table (or, more accurately, gave back). The worst part about it for the local store is they will come up short on the next inventory and this will hit their bottom line.

2. I bought it there because I was going in anyway. So "harrumph" yourself. :-)

3. Yes, Skyrim is amazing. Those folks at Bethesda have some great stuff.

1. So you basically got a free TV. That is the best example I've seen yet of how Best Buy is driving itself off of a cliff. It's weird how, in this case, you getting a free product is a great example of terrible customer service. Best Buy should know they have a problem when people cringe going into a store because they dread having to fend off the clueless sales people. I wear earplugs when I walk through the computer area in their store so I don't try to strangle anyone.

2. I'm harrumphing in your general direction after reading that you bought an HDMI cable at Best Buy. Harrumph harrumph.

3. Skyrim is pretty amazing.

I haven't checked that out out - I will put it on my list.

It is interesting to me that book reviews are very well received here on The Crossing. I haven't quite figured out if it's because people really like them or if it's because those authors in particular promoted the reviews as a way of promoting sales of their books. I'm going to dig into that a little more in the near future.
